The OTTER Escape & Rescue accommodates teams of 4-10 people, with 6-8 people ideal.
Puzzlers and curious folx ages 3 to infinity can enjoy it, but it is a full day of adventure. Plan on 2 hours of game time plus 5-7 hours of play, for a 7-9 hour day.
Wee ones and pets: Please bring your well-fitting life jackets - and your favorite adults so they can have fun, too.
The puzzles are about 2.5 out of 5 since this scenario is primarily fun-focused and action-oriented. The silliness factor is about 4 out of 5, but your team could bring that up to a 5 if you play hard enough. The 3.5-mile round trip paddle and 2.5-mile round trip hike difficulty depend on your level of fitness & experience. Let's check in about that before you come.
The 1.75 mile paddle from Southworth to Blake Island is in fairly protected waters in Puget Sound. Check out this video for a peek at the area.
The 1.25 mile trail across Blake is easy/moderate.
We have kayaks for 6 team members, and equipment for 8. Larger groups will need to bring extra boats. And everyone, please bring FOOD!!!
The intent of this escape adventure is to have fun. Before you come, let's talk about if a 3.5 mile rt paddle and 2.5 mile rt hike (with puzzle solving thrown in) is the right kind of fun for you, and if you believe your group can be safe on the water and on the trail. Game clock stops during water and land travel to encourage safety plus enjoyment of the day and the beautiful PNW surroundings.
